VLC Media Player for Nokia N900
Even though vlc player installation is successful, It will show only vlc media pl. shortcut in applications with out an icon. If you click on that vlc media pl., it will crash. As a work around you can run vlc shell command from X Terminal. Come out of X Terminal and go back to the applications, now click on vlc player pl. icon. First time it will fail and then it adds the vlc standard image for the icon.
Open Application Manager and create a new catalog with following details, From Application manager click on update. Search for vlc from the list shown Install vlc(VLC media player and streamer) and vlc-player(VLC media player) packages.
