Google on Wednesday confirmed that its next-generation Android operating system will soon become available as an update for the Nexus S and other Gingerbread phones. Engadget reports that Google executives Gabe Cohen and Matias Duarte have both confirmed that an update is already in the works for Google’s previous-generation Nexus smartphone, and the same process being used to update the Nexus S from Gingerbread “theoretically should work for any 2.3 device.”

CyanogenMod 7.0 for TouchPad Alpha

It’s time to change and move on. CyanogenMod 7.0 is available for the TouchPad Alpha. There is something you must know. This version is not supposed to be used by general public due to a lot of bugs in it. They are fixing them right now and (we don’t know the time) soon, we’ll see the fully functional version of it.
There are some great features that are included in it or that will be included in the near future including ten-point multi-touch, functional Wi-Fi, camera support for video chat, multi-boot support and many more. May be there will be poorly optimized power consumption or some other errors as the team says that they can’t even properly list all of them.
