Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3 Gingerbread


Google unveils Samsung Nexus S, the first smartphone with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Gingerbread is the latest Android version. Samsung Nexus S will be available by December 16 2010. The most exciting feature of Samsung Nexus S with Gingerbread are multi-tasking, hi-tech keyboard and Near the field support.

The screen Samsung’s Super AMOLED display is bright and gorgeous. It’s not as sharp as the iPhone 4 retina display but it’s still very pretty. It syncs with all our Google services. When you turn the Nexus S on for the first time, you enter your Google account information and everything from e-mail to calendars are ready to go. We were able to quickly make our Google Voice number the default for the phone.

4 inch WVGA molded screen, with curved glass and is protected with anti-fingerprint coating. The smartphone is smart with green screen colour and black body. The apt size and colour combination will add on to your style statement.


Samsung smartphone with Gingerbread is installed with 5 megapixel camera and also a front facing camera for video chat. With the enhanced version of Gingerbrear in the smartphone video capture has become all the more easy. What makes capturing memories in this smartphone is the 16GB memory on board.

Android 2.3, reshapes the keyboard keys to be more rectangular than square, and there’s more spacing between keys. I found the redesigned keyboard to be easier to use, but still imperfect. For me, between the Android 2.3 keyboard and the Apple iOS 4 keyboard, the iPhone wins

The Nexus S is essentially a Galaxy S phone branded by Google. There’s nothing groundbreaking with the hardware other than the fact that it has an NFC chip. And there really isn’t anything to test that on right now.
