Psp and Nintendo Ds Emulator for Nokia N900
At the very beginning of my digital adventure I was. My first computer, first console, it was mostly about entertainment. Sometimes I like to go back to my favorite games using emulator of some sort.
When I first got a PC it was still under control of DOS, a basic command-line operating system. The games I remember were marvelous, simple and not so good looking but have taken long hours of my life. To go back to that times I use DOSBox, it was released on many platforms, recently also on N900. It allows to run many simple DOS programs, is nicely customizable using configuration files. Some enthusiast even managed to run Windows 95 basing on DOSBox.
Other entertainment came from consoles mostly, one of the first was Super Nintendo Entertainment System, shortly called S NES. I still think that games for this platform are really good, they may be old and not so good looking but I still like ideas, which were sometimes revolutionary for that times.
For N900 there is emulator called DrNokSnes, and to be honest when I first tried it it wasn’t working for me the way it should. Nevertheless after update I could easily load rom file and play my favorite games once again. It’s nicely configurable and a feature I like the most is possibility to use touchscreen as gamepad and play with closed keyboard.
