Plays All Video Formats Best iPad Video App

If we are talking about the best iPad app of this week: it has to be this app, The upcoming VLC iPad app, created by Applidium, is worth making a mention. The iPad port of VLC allows you to playback all kinds of video formats directly on your iPad. This is great, as it will save you the effort of having to convert all your videos into Apple’s format.

It performs very well, and all your DivX and Xvid files will play efficiently and in general, displaying all their original quality. It also supports a bunch of other formats, and it’s extremely simple to use. As for the interface, it’s nice and polished.

The AVCHD files from my Panasonic GF1, can be added via iTunes but don’t appear in the app. Just make sure the SRT file has the same name as the movie file and drop it into iTunes alongside the movie. It will work.
