Google Chrome for Mobile Updated to v2.3.0

Today Google released the Chrome to Phone version 2.3.0 which will update the user interface display for more modern applications. Support for application in landscape view as well, the better, even though we've wanted this for a long time. Finally, a bug that would make the application crash when transferring text from your computer to be repaired. One device that is most affected by this bug is a Honeycomb tablet.

Youtube for Entertainment Channel

Youtube video sharing owned by Google company, Having previously launched an online video rental service, Youtube now plans to launch entertainment channel that will involve up to a figure like Madonna prestigious newspaper The Wall Street Journal.

Although refusing to give details of funding, Google said there will be more than 100 programs in the new channels to be launched. The partners include the Hollywood production companies, celebrities and new media groups. Its partners include former NBA star Shaquille O'Neil, comedian Amy Poehler, spiritual expert Deepak Chopra, actor Ashton Kutcher.

Google Plus 2.0 for Android reportedly supports both Android Gingerbread and Android Honeycomb OS. Apparently, the new version is designed for the Android 4.0 OS, which in our knowledge, is supported by the unannounced Nexus Prime Android phone. There are no details as to what's new in the leaked release, but something that's utterly obvious is that the version has a revamped UI, and loads of interface improvements.

Google Translate for Android supports 14 languages

Google updated its Translate application for Android devices on Thursday with support for 11 additional languages as part of a major update. The application will now translate and speak English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Russian and Turkish. Google originally launched the conversation feature of Google Translate in January of this year and subsequently added support for Japanese in the wake of the country's earthquake and tsunami crisis. Users can speak words and then correct them, if there was an error, before the phone speaks them in the translated language. The text translation aspect of Google Translate offers support for 63 different languages. A video of the application in action follows after the break.

Norton Anti-Theft takes of device-stealing

Tuesday Symantec launched Norton Anti-Theft, a Web-based service that allows consumers to remotely lock, locate and recover a lost or stolen Windows-based laptop, Android smartphone or Android tablet. The release is part of Symantec's Norton Everywhere initiative, which extends Norton's security expertise and technologies to protect consumers everywhere they go, regardless of device or platform.

In addition to the Sneak Peek feature, Symantec's Norton Auto-Theft also tracks and maps the location of the stolen/lost device when anyone uses it to go online. Subscribers can also securely lock the device to prevent others from using it or seeing the stored information. There's also an option to display a customizable message to anyone who finds the missing device so that owners can make arrangements to get it back.

Firefox 9 now Available with Type Inference

Mozilla has just released the developer version of Firefox 9 Aurora, which will include a boost for JavaScript performance. Firefox has not been good for a lot of positive headlines lately, especially since it seems to be surrendering market share to Chrome faster than the arctic its ice cover. However, it recently sent its first true rapid release (Firefox 7) out the door and there is now a good picture of Firefox 9, which could become the most significant release of the browser this year.
