Nokia Closing One of the Ovi Services

Nokia Closing One of the Ovi Services

The news is a little surprising coming from Nokia. The Finnish vendor is announced to close one of their Ovi services as of 1 October next, such as email that Nokia has been distributed to each user Ovi. Nokia has closed Ovi File services effectively on October 1, 2010. Nokia to apologize for the inconvenience.

In addition to announcing that, Nokia also gave advice to their customers who use Ovi Files, uninstall Ovi Files Connector from their PC. For the record, Nokia Ovi Files is a service that allows users to access content data images, files, or video stored on the Nokia server.

Other suggestions given by Nokia is transferred Ovi Files to the Ovi Suite. You can still make sharing content between a PC with other Nokia phones using the service, Ovi Suite.

With this, the existing OviFiles on Ovicom portal is only three years old since its birth in 2007. Nokia itself did not give reasons for the closure of their services. Is this an indication that Nokia is really down ‘throne’?
