Sandcastles Investment Group Limited has released an updated to v1.3 for their free application Animated Avatars for BBM! Make your Blackberry Messenger (BBM) profile display picture the centre of conversation with over 40 animated avatars and more being added each day this little app will keep your BBM looking cool.

BBM Animated app installs onto your phone and will auto check for new avatars making it easy for you to save them onto your phone and then into your BBM profile.

Nimbuzz lets you chat with friends on Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook and many others. You do not have to open separate messengers to chat with your friends when you have installed on your phone.

Nimbuzz is available for Android and it’s pretty awesome. There is no push notifications in the past for Android users, but Nimbuzz has been updated and now you will be able to receive push notifications.

Now Skype users can have instant internet access at around 500.000 hotspots around the world by connecting through a Wi-Fi operator. BlackBerry Messenger app otherwise popularly known as BBM a one-of-its-kind app that allows users to chat with other BlackBerry users, effortlessly, on the go.

Graduating the app version with time and as it has been its regular practice, Research in Motion released an update to BlackBerry Messenger app pushing the app version to 5.0.2.12 as a final release.

Research in Motion did not originally specify any change log or explicitly mention about what’s new in the update, but it is obvious that software updates usually refine application performance and fix bugs.

If you haven’t heard Yobongo, is a new iPhone app that meshes location-aware messaging with a chatroomen vironment, and it’s kind of amazing. By using a custom algorithm and different variables including your location, people you have chatted with previously, or even people you know, Yobongo connects you with up to around 10 people in a single “room” and well, from there it’s one big conversation. I’ve been using Yobongo for around a week, and while the beta test didn’t use our location to work (there was most likely no one nearby since the service hasn’t launched yet), it’s a pretty incredible experience.
