Konami first 3D game for Smartphone: Powerful Pro Baseball

Konami announces 3D game Mobile Powerful Pro Baseball 3D for mobile phones. Konami is launching its first 3D game Mobile Powerful Pro Baseball 3D for mobile phones. The 3D game will be made available on Sharp’s Galapagos 3D Android which is releasing soon in Japan. More 3D games from Konami are also expected to follow suit. A golf game is already on the cards. The Sharp 3D phone will come with a 3.8 inch display screen and 800×480 resolution. The game was expected to roll out with Nintendo 3DS but it is coming a little sooner much to delight of mobile phone gamers.
However, Konami also interested to embed this Pro Baseball 3D game in 3D Sharp handsets. Reportedly, a Japanese equipment vendors that will launch the Android-based phone Galapagos 3D and Konami are excited to bring this Pro Baseball 3D to the device.
The technology that allows users to view 3D content without glasses is the same in both Sharp’s phone and Nintendo’s 3DS, so consumers will get a feel for the format’s mobile capabilities before the launch of the 3DS.
Consumer first contact will play a large part in the take off of 3D as a format, and given that on mobile devices it doesn’t require glasses such content will prove popular. Apple recently secured a patent for 3D technology, and Research In Motion is also looking into the format, meaning that the big guns of the smart phone market are looking to incorporate 3D into their product lines.
