Frodo is a Commodore 64 home computer emulator. It was ported from Christian Bauer’s original Frodo for Amiga. Porting for Epoc was done by Jal Panvel and Alfred E. Heggestad. Porting to Nokia 9210 and S60 was done by me. Frodo was released on July, 2001. That was the first C64 emulator for any cell phone!

The player supports only M-JPEG/JPEG streams for video and G.711 64 Kbit/s streams for audio. It supports HTTP Basic and Digest access authentication RFC2617 compliant. PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) controls are available and tested with Axis cameras and servers. The PTZ commands are configurable on the JAD file. Almost all device keys are associated with a PTZ command. Some keys are used for special purposes like to rotate the image or to switch between the normal and alternate key sets. In order to extend the number of keys available two key sets are defined, the normal and respective the alternate set. A green indicator on the screen means that the normal key set is currently active. A red indicator on the screen means that the alternate key set is currently active.
