Facebook users can finally stop wondering why no official Facebook app is available for Apple’s iPad. As of Monday evening, Facebook’s iOS app is now a universal binary that supports the iPhone and iPod touch as well as the iPad. Among the app’s key features, Facebook lists high-resolution photo support, slide and pinch gesture support, Facebook game compatibility and quick access to messaging features from almost any view within the app. Facebook’s full statement to the press follows below.
Here’s the announcement from Facebook. if your phones not already beeping/vibrating/flashing and demanding a manual update. “We’ve just released v1.5.2 of Facebook for Android. This version adds the ability to upload photos to friend’s Walls or to Groups and ensures that your photos are uploaded with the correct orientation. We’ve also made improvements to landscape mode and security. Get it from the Android Market now.”

Most of the mobile manufacturers can now heave a sigh of relief as this new app called Facebook for Feature Phones app is perfectly working on about 2500 devices from all major brands.
RIM has released Facebook Places for Blackberry announced that they have developed a new version of their Facebook application which includes support for Facebook Places, the most notable addition is this integration, allowing users to check in at their current location, allowing friends to know where they are. The update gives more Facebook functionality than Palm which still don’t have Places, but less than iPhone which have Groups but no deal with Facebook Places for Blackberry users.
