Nokia 5800 gets firmware update to v.5.0

There is a new firmware update available for the Nokia 5800 -v50.0.005. This phone received a major firmware update earlier this year with the v40 firmware which brought kinetic scrolling and other improvements. Now this update brings Kinetic scrolling to the Menu . Android 2.2 To Offer Automatic Updating

Updating your applications on Google’s Android is never a fun affair, and if you have multiple applications to update, you might feel like tearing your hair out, as you need to update each application individually. Now it seems that following the leak that the HTC Magic was caught running Android 2.2, it seems that there might be a possibility that Android 2.2 might offer automatic application updates, as per the screenshot above. Of course, there isn’t any way to verify this at the moment, but if it does turn out to be real, it would be a great improvement for Android users, wouldn’t you think?

I know it sounds old-fashioned, and maybe I am, but I just love the sound of these old bell phones, although I have to be honest and say that I don’t like rotary phones, mainly because of the waiting for that rotary dial to make its excruciating slow rotation.

We had one, actually that was so common when I was growing up and I remember when you wanted to make a quick call; it was really painful to wait for the dial return to the starting position between each number.
