Ever found yourself in a situation where you just did not know the word to order yourself a nice drink in a foreign country? Ever guessed together with your friends how some word is translated into a foreign language? That is when MobileDictionary comes into play. Easy and quick translations from any language into any other language. MobileDictionary comes with a predefined set of languages, which can be extended easily. Additional dictionaries can be found on freedict.org, which offers free dictionaries of various languages.

Installation of new dictionaries is easy. Just copy the two files (.dict and .index) to your phone and place them in the folder DataDict found in the internal phone memory. If the file is available in .dz format instead of .dict, rename it to .gz and extract the contained .dict-file with WinRAR. Now start MobileDictionary and you have all installed dictionaries easily at hand.

MobileDictionary is written in OpenC and uses the Symbian S60 user interface. It therefore supports all S60 3rd Edition devices. Note that phones prior to 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 must install OpenC separately.
