Nokia Sports Tracker is a GPS-based activity tracker that runs on compatible Nokia mobile devices. Information such as speed, distance, and time are automatically stored in your training diary. On this site you can store and share your workouts and routes. Nokia has quietly released the major update for its very popular Sports Tracker application for Symbian S60 devices. Nokia Sports Tracker version 2.05 which came pre-installed with the recently announced Nokia N79 Active has been released and owners of other Symbian S60 devices are finally able to “activate” their phones and extend the possibilities by pairing Tracker with Polar’s wireless heart rate monitor.

Application hasn’t been released officially and at the moment it is only available as over the air update but it should be available for direct download from the Sports Tracker’s website shortly. User interface is also significantly improved, more finger friendly and fully compatible with the 5th edition devices and it looks and works great on Nokia N82. No matter are you using Sports Tracker to monitor your sports exercise or as a general activity tracker you well aware that since version 1.82 has limited map support and with the version 2.05 brings an option to choose Phone & Network or Phone alone or to turn off maps at all.

There is and also ability to zoom maps in out with a finger friendly on screen commands. Sports Tracker version 2.05 is also compatible with the new sensor framework and steps are now counted in the workout on FP2 phones or Symbian s60v2.
