Upgrade N73 jadi N73 Music Edition
Nokia N73 dengan N73 Music Edition dari segi desain sama saja. yang membedakannya hanya saja phone firmware codenya, menjadikan N73 Music Edition lebih jernih dari kualitas suaranya dan beberapa aplikasi seperti :
- FOTA (Flashing Over The Air)
- Bluetooth Stereo
- A2DP Support
- Dial-up over IR
- Lifetimer Reset for reflashed phones
- Vibra Boot notification
- Configurable Flash setting function for Camera
- Secure Formatter with TCB and All-Files capabilities
- N Series Music Player replaces S60 Music Player
- Active Standby + UI Grid layout + application locations changed in-line
with Pre-Space UI layout.
Removed features:
- Snakes
Dan beberapa perbaikan aplikasi:
- Icons and text in Application Shell
- Icon in “Catalogs”
- Fungsi waktu alarm , when handset is turned off
- Active Standby Shortcut 6 function
- Quick Office “Save” options
- Bluetooth search “Searching for Devices”
- Kamera tertutup jika RAM rendah.
- Phone reboots if wrong memory card password is entered
- Memory card details are not read correctly if the card is locked by DUV
- Tutorial – Occasional malfunction
- Music player starts when BT stereo headset is switched OFF
- Unable to create FOTA Server profile
- “System Error” occurs when trying to synchronize after restoring the
backed up info.
- “App. Closed: Device manager” is detected after exiting from New
server profile view.
- Gallery crashes or phone reboots when moving rocker after making a
new album in gallery
- Long name for messaging settings makes messaging unusable

Sebelum mengupgrade sebaiknya backup semua data phone ke memory card di aplikasi memory card :
Tools > memory card > options > backup phone memory
- Download dan Install Software Tool NSS (Nemesis Service Suite 6.451kb)
- Kemudian koneksikan N73 ke komputer dengan kabel data
- Buka aplikasi Tool NSS, lalu klik icon “kaca pembesar” di sebelah kanan atas. di sebelah kiri atas klik icon “phone info” untuk mendeteksi phone firmware code.
- Lalu klik “Scan” firmware code tersebut seperti 0583…
- Kemudian ganti firmware code tersebut dengan 0539352. dan ceklis “Product Code” jadi Enable
- Setelah mengganti product code klik tombol “write” dan tunggu beberapa saat sampai proses selesai setelah itu tutup aplikasi Tool NSS
- biarkan handphone tetap tersambung dengan komputer, kemudian download Nokia Software Updater
- Instal di komputer kamu dan jalankan software tersebut
- Ikuti langkah-langkah pada Nokia Software Updater
- Selesai… setelah itu restart handphone
- Handphone sebaiknya jangan menggunakan Offline Mode, (lebih baik ubah ke Silent Profile)
- Firmware yang baru membutuhkan ruang kosong 70-76 MB, dan koneksi handpone dengan komputer jangan sampai terputus sampai proses selesai.
- Nokia yang telah diupgrade tidak bisa di kembalikan ke firmware yang lama.
Sekarang restore kembali hasil backup dalam file memory card tadi. di Tools/Memory Card/Options/Restore from card. Selamat Mencoba.
